CHARITY GIVING DURING COVID-19
Fund raising opportunities have been very limited during the restrictions of Covid-19 and our charity chest soon looked a little empty.
However members have been contributing weekly and occasionally from the money saved by not meeting weekly for meals and drinks.
Much of the money has been donated to the Salvation Army who have been doing sterling work in the community during the current epidemic or other worthy causes.
AROUND THE WORLD
Rotary clubs around the world face the same lack of fund raising opportunities and have come up with many original means of fund raising.
KATHARINE HOUSE HOSPICE
During these present difficult financial times the hospice has many problems and the club has been doing its bit to help. Our club’s annual raffle raised £1440 which was given to the hospice.
