95th CHARTER LUNCH

The Stafford Rotary Club celebrated its 95th birthday on Sunday 17th February at the Chase Golf Club, Penkridge with over sixty guests.

Guests of honour were District Governor Ashley Gray and his wife, the Mayor of Stafford Borough Councillor Ray Barron and the Mayoress Councillor Jenny Barron.

The speeches were limited but the fellowship overflowed.

Rotarians from other clubs were able to join us for the celebration.

In February 1969 Rodney Thomas joined the Stafford Rotary Club and gave active service in the club being its President and awarded the Paul Harris Fellowship for his activities in the club and the community.
On Wednesday 27th February he was awarded an encased certificate signed by the President of Rotary International and presented to him by Club President Steve Turner.
